About Bill
W.H. “Bill” Morris is a lifelong public servant, small business owner, and committed conservative who has spent more than three decades serving his community, state, and country.
A graduate of Lee County High School (Class of 1984) and Central Carolina Community College’s Basic Law Enforcement Training program (Class of 1987), Bill began his career in service as a United States military veteran from 1984 to 1987, including three years with the Military Police Corps. He went on to build a distinguished 34-year career in law enforcement, serving 20 years with the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office, including 13 years in narcotics enforcement, and 10 years with the Town of Erwin. His career has been defined by integrity, accountability, and a steadfast commitment to public safety.
Bill is a disabled veteran and continues to serve fellow veterans as a VA-certified inspector for adaptive housing, helping ensure safe, accessible homes for those who have served our nation.
In addition to his public service, Bill is an experienced professional and entrepreneur. He holds North Carolina licenses in home inspection, septic inspection, real estate, auctioneering, and general contracting, and is the owner of Mid-Atlantic Services and Black River Lumber Company. His broad professional background gives him a practical, hands-on understanding of regulations, property rights, and the challenges facing small businesses.
Bill remains deeply involved in his community. He has served on the Erwin Planning Board and the Anderson Creek Charter School Board of Directors, working to strengthen local planning efforts and educational opportunities.
A conservative Christian, Bill has been married for 31 years, is the proud father of two children, and lives in Dunn, having previously resided in the Anderson Creek community. He is an active member of Antioch Church.Your candidate has been part of this community for many years, working tirelessly to make it a better place.
